Partnerships

The Bioinstrumentation program has established strong relationships with clinical partners to offer valuable insights on real-world application of design and leadership training.

The one-year plan of study incorporates extracurricular activities that include industry guest speakers, plant visits, leadership workshops, entrepreneurship forums, and social activities to build skills that complement the engineering discipline. The program concludes with a summer-term capstone group project, in which student teams collaborate to address specific challenges posed by industry partners.

Our collaborative campus environment also provides the benefit of bringing together expert faculty from various disciplines to deliver a curriculum that prepares graduates for career advancement. Surrounded by more than 80 research centers and labs housed in multiple buildings across two quads, the Urbana-Champaign campus is at the center of a world-class network. Students benefit from access to state-of-the-art equipment in a highly modern environment that inspires both collaboration and creativity.
